A throwback #traveltuesday (though aren’t they all these days?) to a 2018 family trip to China. I don’t have anything insightful to say except that I miss just having the option to travel & see places like this that are older than some civilizations & wonder what their lives were like. They looked up at the same sky we do. Plus, yesterday was the winter solstice. Usually, I see my family & we have sweet rice ball soup per tradition. 😪

Just thinking about how much of last December I spent at Black Spire Outpost with Burble. How much things have changed since then! As much as I love the escape of the parks, this year has also really reminded me how nonessential they are, that they are a nice luxury to afford, but that’s exactly what they are - a luxury. And we shouldn’t put things like that above people’s health and safety. Batuu will be there whenever all this has passed.
